Sea Pines Resort - Harbour Town Golf Links
Hilton Head Island, South Carolina | 18 holes | Links | Par: 71 | 7099 yards
A combined effort by Pete Dye and Jack Nicklaus (Nicklaus designed the original and Dye gave it a spit shine 2000), the Harbour Town Golf Links at Sea Pines Resort is a can't-miss stop for golfers looking to play the best of Hilton Head golf.
"The golf course almost immediately launched Dye into the most-wanted list of top architects," said TravelGolf.com writer Tim McDonald.
With water in play on many holes and smallish greens, Harbour Town is a solid test for a golfer looking for a challenge. The par-4s will require the most work on a course that measures 7,099 yards, with a 148 slope rating from the tips.

For the price, other courses give you a bag tag; you get nothing at this course. Even asking for an extra scorecard was pulling teeth.
Greens are very small and hard to hold; sand was poor. Sand was much better at Shipyard Golf course for 70% less green fees.
I can cross it off my list of top 100 but I will not pay to play it again.
